How Haaland Injury?
On September 28, during the Premier League match between Manchester City and Newcastle United, Erling Haaland got injured. Haaland collided with Newcastle defender Dan Burn in the first half, causing his ankle to bleed. After the injury, Haaland seemed very uncomfortable, but he still finished the first half. During the break, he received treatment, and his ankle was bandaged. Although the injury looked serious, Haaland returned to the field in the second half and played the full match.
After the game, coach Pep Guardiola said Haaland had a few knocks and some bruises, but it would take a few days to know how serious the injury was. Haaland trained normally with the team on Monday and was included in Manchester City’s squad for their Champions League match against Slovenia.
After Injury: Norway’s All-time Top Scorer
From the results of that game, it seems Haaland’s injury wasn’t too bad. Manchester City won 3-0 against Slovenia, and Haaland became Norway’s all-time top scorer. He scored 34 goals in just 36 games, breaking the record.
Haaland scored a goal only 7 minutes into the match, giving Norway an early lead. Later, with Martin Ødegaard injured, Haaland wore the captain’s armband and scored a record-breaking goal. This broke Juventus’ record of 35 goals that had stood since 1934.
From these recent games, it’s clear that Haaland’s injury during the Premier League match hasn’t affected his performance. Let’s look forward to more of his games in the future:
