Vogue Williams Opens Up About Her Least Favorite Label: ‘Model’

Vogue Williams, the Irish media personality and podcasting sensation has revealed that being called a “model” is the worst thing she’s ever been labeled. Rising to fame on the 2010 reality show Fade Street, Vogue Williams has since built an impressive career, co-hosting two successful podcasts: My Therapist Ghosted Me alongside comedian Joanne McNally, and Spencer & Vogue with her husband, Spencer Matthews. However, the Dubliner cringes at the thought of her early forays into the modeling industry.

A Mortifying Modeling Experience

In a candid interview with MailOnline, Vogue Williams shared her discomfort with her brief stint as a model, admitting she was scouted at the age of 16 and took on various jobs she now finds “embarrassing.” Some of her initial modeling gigs involved her promoting sausages and even participating in a burger shop opening. These early experiences continue to haunt her, particularly when people refer to her as a model today.

“Oh my god, I am not a model. That is the worst thing I have ever been called,” Vogue Williams confessed. “I was doing shoots where I had my head inside a giant burger for the opening of a burger shop. That’s the kind of modeling I was doing. I wasn’t a real model.”

She expressed particular frustration when introduced on TV shows as both a model and presenter. “Whenever I hear someone say ‘model,’ I think, ‘Please Jesus – who said model?’” Vogue Williams joked. “It feels like someone’s trolling me constantly.”

Dreaming of the Big Screen

While Vogue Williams is now more known for her work in podcasting, she has also made strides in TV presenting. Over the years, she has hosted shows such as The Big Deal, an Irish talent competition, and the paranormal investigation series Spooked Ireland. Despite her successful career in front of the camera, her ambitions go beyond the roles she has taken so far.

Vogue Williams revealed that she dreams of hosting a Saturday night chat show, ideally alongside her husband Spencer. “My dream job is to be a Saturday night host, sitting and chatting with people,” she said. “I think it would be so much fun. I love working with Spencer. He’s my best friend, and I would love to work with him.”

Now a mother of three, Vogue Williams is balancing her family life with her flourishing career. Despite her distaste for the title of “model,” she continues to thrive in the entertainment industry, exploring new opportunities and expanding her reach as one of Ireland’s top media personalities.
