Noni Madueke’s First Premier League Hat-Trick: A Personal Reflection

Noni Madueke’s debut Premier League hat-trick came as a thrilling surprise, and it left him with an immense feeling of achievement. Our first league win of the season came with a bang, and Madueke played a starring role in that success.

In our match against Wolves, things were tight at 2-2 by halftime. But Madueke took control in the second half, scoring all three of his goals in just under fifteen minutes. His performance was crucial in securing our lead at Molineux, a lead we maintained and even extended with a goal from Joao Felix.

Madueke’s goals were quite similar, each coming from his smart use of space down our right flank. Reflecting on his first Chelsea hat-trick, Madueke shared his thoughts:

“It’s really about being smart and waiting for the right opportunities,” he said. “The system we play helps us to keep the ball high up the pitch and create chances. My first goal was a bit fortunate. For the second and third, Cole Palmer delivered two perfect passes, and all I had to do was finish. They were good goals, especially considering they came from my weaker side.”

Madueke expressed his delight over the hat-trick and the win. “It means a lot. As a forward, scoring is always important, but winning is even more so. It’s been tough here the last few years, and I can’t remember winning against Wolves before, so this victory feels really special.”

He also praised Cole Palmer, who set up each of his goals. “He’s incredible. He’s calm under pressure, and I’m the one bringing the fire. We work well together. He always finds the right moment to make a pass.”

The win against Wolves was our first league victory under Enzo Maresca and followed a midweek triumph over Servette. While it’s still early in the season, Madueke feels optimistic about what’s unfolding at Stamford Bridge.

“Everyone saw what Enzo did at Leicester. He’s meticulous about the details. Even in our first game against City, there were some promising signs, but we were much more clinical against Wolves. With players like Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, and Christopher Nkunku available, we have so much quality in our squad. It was a fantastic team performance.”

Madueke concluded with a positive note about the team’s progress. “We have a lot of talent, and we’re working hard to implement Enzo’s style of play. We’ve made great strides since pre-season, and I hope it continues.”
