Overview

The 2024 Esports World Cup (EWC), organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation, is nearing its final stages after eight weeks of competition. This event, the largest in esports history, started on July 3 in Riyadh and concludes on August 25 with a record $60 million prize pool.

PUBG: Battlegrounds Grand Finals

The PUBG: Battlegrounds Grand Finals will showcase 24 top teams competing for a $2 million prize pool. This includes the top eight global teams and 16 teams from EWC qualifiers.

Qualified Teams

From the Korean qualifiers, KWANGDONG FREECS and Danawa Esports have qualified for the Grand Finals. Chinese teams 17Gaming, Four Angry Men, and Tianba will compete, along with EMEA’s FaZe Clan, BB Team, and Gaimin Gladiators.

In the Americas, Soniqs lead, followed by Team Falcons, TSM, and Luna Galaxy. The APAC region has Daytrade Gaming, The Expendables, AG Global, and Valee Thai Esports advancing.

Group Stage

The group stage runs from August 21 to 23, with 24 teams split into three groups. Each team plays 12 matches over three days. The top 16 teams will move to the finals.

Final Stage

The final stage occurs on August 24 and 25. The top 16 teams will play 12 matches over two days. The team with the highest cumulative score will win $700,000, earn 300 PGC points, and secure a PGC 2024 spot.

Group stage matches begin at noon Eastern Time. Final stage matches start at 6:15 AM Eastern Time. Fans can watch live on EWC’s Twitch, YouTube, and other channels.
