Cincinnati Open 2024-25 Highlights: Must-See Exhibition Match

GOLD MEDAL COUPLE

The 2024 tournament will mark the 123rd edition of the men’s Cincinnati Open and the 96th edition of the women’s tournament, held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, a suburb north of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Cincinnati Open will host its inaugural Community Day on Saturday, August 10th, featuring a doubles exhibition match with four legendary players to raise money for charity. These players are Andre Agassi, Mardy Fish, Andy Roddick, and John Isner.

Former Stars

Retired Andre Kirk Agassi, a three-time Cincinnati Open champion with the world No. 1 ranking for 101 consecutive weeks, will participate. Agassi and his wife, German tennis player Steffi Graf, the only player in history to achieve the Golden Slam in a calendar year, are dubbed the “Gold medal couple.”

Retired American professional tennis player Mardy Fish, who won six ATP titles before and defeated then-world No. 1 Roger Federer at the 2008 Indian Wells Masters, will also participate.

John Isner, who has won 16 titles and holds the ATP record for most career aces with 14,470, will join the exhibition. He retired last year.

Two-time Cincinnati Open champion Andy Roddick, who held the world No. 1 ranking for 13 consecutive weeks and won 32 titles, including the 2003 US Open, will complete the lineup.

Graf won all four Grand Slam titles in 1988 and an Olympic gold medal in the same year. She holds the record for the most weeks as WTA No. 1, with 377 weeks.

Former Cincinnati champion Lindsay Davenport will serve as the match’s umpire. Davenport won the Cincinnati title twenty years ago and has 55 career titles, including three Grand Slam titles. She held the No. 1 ranking for 98 consecutive weeks.
