On Sunday, during the Serie A match between Fiorentina and Inter Milan, Edoardo Bove suddenly collapsed on the pitch, leading to the game being abandoned.
Fiorentina, Bove’s club (he is on loan from Roma), has since released a statement confirming that the Italian midfielder is currently in intensive care.
According to the statement, Bove is now able to breathe on his own. Doctors have ruled out any acute damage to his central nervous system and cardio-respiratory system. However, he will need further evaluation in the coming hours.
