Alison Hammond is taking on a thrilling role in this year’s Christmas pantomime at Birmingham Hippodrome. She will play the Magical Mermaid in *Peter Pan*, joining a star-studded cast that features *Strictly Come Dancing* favorite Danny Mac as Captain Hook and local pantomime legend Matt Slack as Smee.
A Return to Pantomime Magic
This isn’t Alison Hammond’s first time in the festive spotlight. Known for her bubbly personality and humor, she is sure to bring her signature charm to the production. Hammond, who became a household name on ITV’s *This Morning* and recently co-hosted *The Great British Bake Off*, is set to win over audiences once again.
Danny Mac, returning to the Hippodrome after playing Prince Charming in *Cinderella* in 2017, will delight fans as the villainous Captain Hook. Mac, who became a fan favorite during his *Strictly Come Dancing* run alongside Oti Mabuse, will add a dash of excitement and charisma to the role.
New Faces and Cast Additions
This year’s cast will also introduce fresh talent. Rhiannon Chesterman takes on the role of Wendy Darling, while Noah Harrison, a recent graduate from Arts Educational Schools, will play the title character of Peter Pan. With such a dynamic and talented cast, this year’s show promises to be a festive treat for all ages.
Birmingham Hippodrome’s artistic director Jon Gilchrist expressed his excitement, stating, “We’re thrilled to have Alison Hammond and Danny Mac leading this fantastic production. Their energy and talent will surely make this a magical experience.”
